Industrial Cyclone Dust Collector: Own One to Know How Useful It Is!

When we talk about industrial cyclone dust collector, we refer to the system which is used to enhance the quality of the air which is released from the commercial and the industrial processes through the collection of dust and purifying the air of other harmful gases. It is specifically designed in a way that handles high volumes of dust loads by using centrifugal force.
A dust collector consists of a blower, a dust receptacle, a filter cleaning system and a dust filter. An industrial cyclone dust collector is not like an air purifier while the latter removes the contaminants from the air the former has more uses than just collecting dust from the air.

Uses of Industrial Cyclone Dust Collector

It was Wilhelm Beth who had designed the dust collector. He was the inventor of three kinds of filter designs in order to remove dust from the air. He was the one who had pioneered the concept of collecting dust from air. Cyclone dust collectors are used for many purposes which include recovering granular solid particles or powder from the process streams. Industrial cyclone dust collector helps in the removal of all the solid pollutants from the exhaust gases before it is vented out to the atmosphere.

These devices are great for decreasing the air pollution levels in urban areas where there are tons of factories and industries. The mist collectors help in the removal of the particulate matter in the form of fine liquid droplets from air. These are often used in the collection of oil mists or coolants and metal working fluids. The smoke and the fume collectors are useful for the removal of particulate matter from the air. This method is effective in reducing or in some cases eliminating the particulate matter from many of the industrial processes like plastic and rubber processing, tempering, welding, quenching and high-speed machines with coolants.

Mainly there are five different kinds of dust collectors:

  1. Fabric filter dust collectors
  2. Unit collectors
  3. Inertial separators
  4. Wet Scrubbers
  5. Electrostatic precipitators

Different Methods of Dust Collection and Uses of Industrial Cyclone Dust Collector

There are different ways of collecting dust and based on an individual’s need one can choose from the many choices they have.

  1. Cyclone Separation: These separators make use of gravity along with a vortex in order to separate the particles from the gas streams. The air which is to be purified is directed through a cylinder which is then spun rapidly; this creates a centrifugal force drawing the particles to the wall. These require a low amount of capital cost and these are operable in high temperatures. This system doesn’t use filters to clean the air, liquid stream or gas.
  2. Electrostatic precipitation: These use electrostatic forces in order to separate the particulate matter from the exhaust gases. It focuses on high voltage electronic charges through which we can remove the suspended gas particles and can collect them on charge plates.  The particles move from one region where the electrodes instigate an electrical field in order to charge the dust particles. This handles large amounts of gas volumes and the heavy dust loads which results from the pressure drop.
  3. Media Filtration: These are very versatile for any sort of application. It has a high amount of high efficiency for smaller particles and has a compact design for a convenience in assembly. However, these require a frequent amount of maintenance and are not quite suited for high dust load.

Based on your needs you can choose the cyclone dust collector you would think would do give you a lot of conveniences.
